Young Sierra Vista students benefit from karate lessons

Thanks to a long-standing partnership with Karate OC, the students in Mrs. Griffin’s and Mrs. Guy’s transitional kindergarten class at Sierra Vista Elementary School recently had a special lesson with karate instructor Ms. Karly Feenstra. Students learned about focus, attention, listening, personal space, and following directions all while playing games and having fun. Students also learned about respect and what to do when encountering a stranger. Engagement was at an all-time high throughout the entire lesson. The Sierra Vista Eagles can’t wait for more lessons with Karate OC!
