One hundred and seventy Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District parents and guardians recently attended one of three Love and Logic classes as a part of Parent University. The class, coined “The Best Recipe in Town,” was provided by Essential Connections in partnership with Love and Logic, a research-driven, whole-child philosophy.
Classes were held on three dates at different sites, including Lakeview, Travis Ranch, and Melrose schools. At each event, resources were available to families including the district’s Family Resource and Referral Center, REACH Foundation, Orange County Asian Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA), CalOptima, Family Health Matters, OC Social Services Agency, Grand Canyon University, and Yorba Linda Library.
“It was a huge success and we look forward to offering more in the future!” Induction Coordinator / MTSS Coach Cameron Castañeda shared.
