On Tuesday, August 29, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) welcomed over 22,500 students for the first day of the 2023-2024 school year.
A strong sense of academic enthusiasm could be felt on all campuses. Students of all ages were delighted to reunite with friends, meet new teachers and staff members, and begin another year of learning!
Leading up to the new year, Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss shared the following with all staff and families: “Our school community has a longstanding tradition of excellence, collaboration, and innovation, and this year will be no different. Everyone will play a vital role in shaping a successful year ahead.”
