On Tuesday, August 27, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) proudly welcomed over 22,500 students for the first day of the 2024-2025 school year.
Excitement and anticipation filled the air across all campuses. Students of all ages eagerly reunited with friends, met their new teachers and staff, and embarked on another year of growth and learning!
In preparation for the new year, Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss shared this message with staff and families: “The success of these first few days sets a promising tone for the year ahead, and I’m excited to witness all the growth and achievements we’ll accomplish together as a community.”
