On Tuesday, March 11, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Board of Education recognized the top five winners of the 2025 Artworks Poster Contest. This annual student art exhibition, Artworks, showcases pieces created by students in Transitional Kindergarten through 12th grade, carefully selected by PYLUSD art educators. As part of this year’s exhibition, all PYLUSD students were invited to participate in the Artworks Poster Contest, which centered on the theme Endangered Species/Nature Conservation. The selected winners received a $50 gift card to Blick Art Materials, and their artwork will be prominently displayed throughout the district to raise awareness about the Annual District Art Show.
This year’s distinguished winners include Olivia Southwell, a third-grade student from Bryant Ranch School; Vincent Brown, a seventh-grade student from Parkview School; Anny Liu, an eighth-grade student from Yorba Linda Middle School; Isabel Parker, an eleventh-grade student from Esperanza High School; and Suah Cha, an eleventh-grade student from El Dorado High School.
The Artworks exhibition will be held at the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum and will be open to the public from April 1 through April 28, 2025, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Special opening and closing receptions are scheduled for March 31 and April 28, 2025, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Community members are encouraged to attend this event in celebration of student creativity and artistic achievement.
