On Tuesday, December 16, Tuffree Middle School hosted its inaugural Posada, presented by the Dual Language Academy, as a celebration of cultural learning and community engagement. The event provided students with an opportunity to study the historical and cultural significance of Las Posadas, a tradition observed throughout Latin America, and to actively apply this learning through experiential participation.
As part of the celebration, students led traditional caroling while processing from building to building across the campus, reenacting key elements of the tradition. Families and members of the school community joined the event, which also featured live musical performances by the Tuffree Middle School Jazz Band, as well as traditional food and beverages. The Posada served as a meaningful educational experience that reinforced cultural appreciation, student leadership, and family engagement, while fostering a strong sense of community within the school.
