All Six PYLUSD Middle Schools Take the Mat in Preparation for District-Wide Wrestling Tournament

PYLUSD Middle School Wrestling

Middle school wrestling has emerged as a welcome addition to the Middle School Athletics (MSA) program within the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD). As each of the six middle school sites—Bernardo Yorba, Kraemer, Travis Ranch, Tuffree, Valadez, and Yorba Linda—eagerly engaged in two dual meets against other schools in the district, the sport garnered significant attention and support from parents, students, and staff alike.

Witnessing over 200 young athletes taking to the wrestling mat for the first time, the community rallied around this exciting new endeavor, fostering a sense of camaraderie and enthusiasm.

Looking ahead, anticipation mounts for the upcoming district tournament scheduled for April 12, slated to be hosted at Valencia High School, where these budding wrestlers will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and determination in a culminating event that promises to be both thrilling and memorable.

Join in supporting these young athletes as it will undoubtedly contribute to the vibrant atmosphere as these promising wrestlers showcase their talents on the mat.
