Each year, El Dorado High School kicks off the school year with spirited traditions that bring students and staff together and celebrate what it means to be a Golden Hawk.
This year’s celebration was especially meaningful as El Dorado proudly marks its 60th anniversary. Founded in 1966, the school has spent six decades building a rich legacy of academic excellence, school spirit, and community pride.
To commemorate the milestone, students from each grade level came together on campus to form the numbers “1966,” honoring the year El Dorado first opened its doors. The special moment connected generations of Golden Hawks while creating a memorable start to the 2026-27 school year.
The celebration also provided a warm welcome for the Class of 2030, El Dorado’s newest Golden Hawks, and served as a reminder of the traditions, connections, and unmistakable school spirit that have defined the EDHS community for 60 years.
