To honor the Golden Jubilee of El Dorado High School, five former principals – as well as the current principal – came together on Saturday, Oct. 15, for the school’s open house. Pictured above from left to right: Joey Davis (2016-present), Jerry Jertberg (1973-1986), Cary Johnson (2010-2012), Joann Ball (1991-1994), Carey Cecil (2012-2015) and Karen Wilkins (1999-2010).
Joann Ball was the first female high school principal in PYLUSD, and served at El Dorado from 1991 to 1994. Karen Wilkins was the second female high school principal, and served from 1999 to 2010, during which time she hired Carey Cecil as activities director. Carey then became the third female high school principal in PYLUSD history in 2012, and served in this capacity until 2015.
It was a special reunion for all Golden Hawk leaders!
