Rose Drive Elementary School third graders received a special visitor this past week, which resulted in an engaging and fascinating lesson that combined science and art. Ms. Ginger Geftakys from the College of Education at California State University, Fullerton, began teaching directed art lessons at Rose Drive four years ago to kindergartners, and has returned each year to deliver an age-appropriate lesson to the next grade up. Her careful step-by-step directions resulted in some highly polished and professional-looking pieces of work. Stop by the third grade classrooms to see them for yourself!
