Yorba Linda Middle School student, Emily Thomas, recently met with Congressman Ed Royce to discuss the status of legislation intended to protect horses. Emily has served as a longtime volunteer at a local horse rescue which also promotes horse advocacy.
Rather than leave a voicemail for Congressman Royce, Emily felt as though it would have a greater impact to meet with him in person to discuss the legislation and how she might help in getting it signed into law.
The Congressman provided Emily with updates on a legislative session he attended just two weeks ago in Washington, D.C. related to horse protection and the progress that is being made. Congressman Royce also encouraged Emily to keep up the good work in staying informed and involved.
