On Thursday, September 17, Esperanza High School staff came together at Angel Stadium to support one of their own, 2018 Esperanza graduate and Los Angeles Angels left fielder Wade Meckler, as the Angels took on the Minnesota Twins.
Before the game, Meckler met with members of the Esperanza staff, providing a special opportunity to reconnect with educators from his high school years and celebrate his journey from Esperanza High School to Major League Baseball.
The evening was a memorable full-circle moment for the Esperanza community, as staff proudly cheered on a former Aztec who has taken his talents from the fields of Esperanza to the major leagues.
