On Friday, September 18, Valencia High School celebrated AVID Day, recognizing the school’s commitment to academic excellence, student achievement, and college and career readiness.
As an AVID National Demonstration School, Valencia High School exemplifies the effective implementation of AVID’s WICOR instructional strategies—Writing, Inquiry, Collaboration, Organization, and Reading—to promote academic success and prepare students for postsecondary opportunities.
Throughout the celebration, students participated in interactive classroom activities, reflected on their academic progress, and highlighted the impact of AVID on their educational journeys. The event also recognized the dedication of AVID elective teachers, counselors, and school leadership in fostering a supportive learning environment that promotes high expectations, academic growth, and student success.
AVID Day reinforced Valencia High School’s ongoing commitment to equipping students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence necessary to achieve their academic and career aspirations.
