PYLUSD high school athletes commit to colleges on National Signing Day

Wednesday, Feb. 1, was National Signing Day for student-athletes who will go on to play sports at the college level. Seniors throughout the district signed their letters of intent.

El Dorado High School
El Dorado is proud to announce that four of its students signed letters of intent to continue their academic and athletic career at the collegiate level. They are to be commended for their hard work both in the classroom and on the athletic field, and the school recognizes them for achieving this tremendous milestone!

Girls soccer:

  • Hannah Cardenas: University of Colorado Boulder
  • Callie Strouse: California State University, Fullerton
  • Aissa Sundstrom: Northwest Nazarene University (Nampo, Idaho)

Girls volleyball:

  • Kailey Rashford: University of Great Falls (Great Falls, Mont.)

Esperanza High School

Boys basketball:

  • Kenzie Okpala: Stanford University

Boys swimming:

  • Daniel Macavei: California Polytechnic State University (San Luis Obispo, Calif.)

Boys track and field:

  • Bronson Osborn: University of California, Los Angeles

Girls volleyball:

  • Gina Lipscomb: California State University, Long Beach

Valencia High School
Valencia Principal Hector Vasquez congratulates the following student-athletes who will continue their education and sports in college.

Yorba Linda High School
Yorba Linda recognized eight seniors with a celebration in the school library. Many students, teachers, coaches, staff and parents came to honor the hard work and sacrifice these individuals made to have the opportunity to play in college.
