Gwen Redira is the 2025 Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Manager of the Year! Gwen serves as the Director of Special Education for the district. This video recaps the day PYLUSD executive leadership members, along with the presidents of the Association of Placentia-Linda Educators and the California School Employees Association (CSEA), joined her colleagues to surprise her with the exciting news.
“For over 22 years, Gwen has been a steadfast advocate for our most vulnerable students, ensuring that every need is met with care and expertise. Rising through the ranks from Program Specialist to Director of Special Education, she has led with unwavering dedication, helping teams problem-solve and leaving no stone unturned to keep students in the least restrictive environment,” shared Assistant Superintendent of Student Support Services Renee Gray. “Her leadership, wisdom, and commitment make her an invaluable asset to our district and the students we serve.”
