Valencia students awarded scholarships at NOCROP Celebration of Success awards

NOCROP awards.

On Wednesday, April 25, Valencia High School (VHS) seniors Destiny Laflower Somerville and Bryan Gallegos were each recognized and awarded a scholarship for their commitment, determination, hard-work, and involvement in their respective ROP Pathways/Industry sectors.

Destiny wishes to pursue a career in Education/Teaching Special Needs and will be attending SCC. Bryan plans to attend FJC and pursue his passion in the residential building/commercial construction industries.

The annual ROP Celebration of Success awards, held at Loara High School, recognized wonderful students from across North Orange County HS’s for their well-rounded approach to learning, applying these skills beyond the classroom, and demonstrating leadership and involvement in the various Career Technical Education Career Pathways/Programs.

Valencia is very proud of all of the Tiger nominees, and especially proud of both Destiny and Bryan for this achievement and for representing the school’s BITA and Child Development programs!
