On May 7, eighth-grade AVID ‘Standout Students’ from all six Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) middle schools were recognized by the Orange County Department of Education at Angel Stadium of Anaheim.

Kraemer Middle School student, Ximena Flores, was one of just six students selected by the Angels Foundation as an Angels Scholar.  In addition to Angels tickets, Angels gear, and a brand new laptop, Ximena will receive a $10,000 renewable scholarship for college!
