El Dorado dance team hosts future dancers for its annual clinic!

Dance Clinic at El Dorado.

The El Dorado High School dance team hosted its annual Dance Clinic on Sunday, October 6. Nearly 100 local children ages 5 to 18 joined in the fun!

Students from elementary and middle schools from all over attended the event, including members of the school’s EveryBuddy Club, who perform at the team’s Spring Show every year, and the No Limits Program, a local non-profit that gives children with special needs an opportunity to gain confidence through dance and musical theater.

All 29 EDHS dance team members worked the week prior to choreograph dances that were then taught to all attendees, who were placed into groups based on age and experience. At the end of the event, each group performed the dance they learned to a packed gym of friends and family.

“We always have an amazing time planning and hosting the clinic,” said Hailey Stoller, Captain for the EDHS Dance Team. “From the tiniest dancers to the older kids who are interested in auditioning for the team next year, the clinic offers a great opportunity to get to know the team and perform in front of a friendly audience. It’s really rewarding for all of us to share something we love to do with so many in the community.”

One parent stated, “It was a really great clinic and my daughter had a great time! Very put together and organized, it ran so smoothly, everything was on time and you could see that all the kids had a lot of fun!”

Way to go, Golden Hawks!
