On Friday, December 16, the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club sponsored their annual holiday party for the students and staff at George Key School. It was held in Golden Elementary School’s multipurpose room. Every year since the mid-1980s, the organization has hosted this much-anticipated event.
George Key students received gifts from Santa and the school received financial support from the club for a specific purpose. This year, the club presented Principal Rebecca Allan with a check for $2,750 to be used for various student materials.
As a highlight of the event, Venture Academy’s choir performed holiday songs for all to enjoy.
This event was also supported by the school’s Parent, Student, Staff Organization (PSSO) including President, Lynne Netty, Cara Wilson Armenta, Alicia Cairns, Amber Bogdan, and Kym King. The group helped set up the Golden multi-purpose room.
“They did a wonderful job, everything looked festive and colorful,” Principal Allan shared. “Thank you so much!”
