Interactive assembly gives Bryant Ranch students a close look at the Great Barrier Reef

On Friday, March 10, the third-grade students at Bryant Ranch School participated in an interactive Great Barrier Reef assembly. The assembly was presented by an underwater explorer team, Wayne and Karen Brown, who shared their award-winning underwater photography to teach the students about ocean animals.

Several students were chosen from the audience to help demonstrate the high-tech SCUBA diving equipment the presenters used while exploring Australia’s Great Barrier Reef. The students learned about the special relationships between different ocean creatures, how fish protect themselves from predators, and how they search for food.
