Lakeview works with Samuel’s Trees to provide necessities to area families with babies in the NICU

Throughout the month of November and early December, the staff at Lakeview Elementary School contributed gift cards to be placed on miniature decorated Christmas trees in support of a charity called Samuel’s Trees. Samuel’s Trees works closely with social workers and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse coordinators at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and other surrounding medical centers. They present Christmas trees adorned with gift cards to families in desperate situations, and to those who are holding on to dear life for their baby’s successful survival and recovery. These Christmas trees and gift cards help each family with meals, gas and other necessities that are needed while traveling back and forth from home to the hospital to be with their babies. The Lakeview staff was able to put together two trees, each decorated with $300 worth of gift cards. Everyone at Lakeview is grateful for the opportunity to be able to reach out and help these families during the holiday season!
