On February 21, Valencia High School (VHS) held their last official AVID Demonstration School visit, and it was a great success. The school hosted district directors from all over Orange County, as well as several AVID administrators, who were amazed by what the Tigers do!
Specifically, the visiting team was impressed with the variety of activities, the collaborative seating structures, and the students’ ownership of learning that they saw across the VHS campus. They also noticed focused notes being done by many teachers as evidenced by what was in the students’ notebooks.
The visiting team observed teachers Corinna Harnett, Gerardo Rodriguez, Lauren Thayer, Leina Rizzo, Dave Chung, Sam Kuchwara, and Amber Juarez.
Great job, Tiger team!
