Staff members from the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) recently assisted a McKinney Vento family through a tough time. When their plight was discovered, district employees stepped in and volunteered time and personal resources to help them.
The family was in great need of support, to ensure that their children would be ready for school. Many district staff members and community volunteers, including the District’s wonderful collaborators from Eastside Christian, spent many hours working with the family. So much was accomplished, and the family was so grateful.
Jon Matson, McKinney Vento Homeless Liaison for PYLUSD commented, “Once again, I’m impressed and humbled by the outpouring of concern, love and donations offered by staff and community members. We truly work with a giving and loving group of people.”
