Bernardo Yorba Middle School’s Vocal Ensemble was one of only six schools invited to the California Music Educators Association (CMEA) Festival. The festival was held at The MUSCO Center for the Arts at Chapman University.
The BYMS Vocal Ensemble, comprised of 35 students, is directed by Linda Nason. They performed before five other schools and in front of a panel of adjudicators. They received the highest possible score, which was a “Unanimous Superior.” That is the equivalent of getting a Gold Medal at the Olympics!
The choir is grateful to have the support of BYMS administration, parents, and their accompanist, Sue Bringhurst.
