Bernardo Yorba Middle School held its sixth grade parent showcase on Wednesday, March 16. Parents were given a presentation from administration and staff about the exciting programs offered at Bernardo Yorba, as well as some tips to ensure that students have a successful seventh grade experience. BYMS performing arts programs (advanced drama, concert choir, jazz band and orchestra) took the stage to perform for the crowd, as well as preview some of the elective offerings in seventh and eighth grades. Fine arts were also represented with colorful multimedia displays.
After the presentation, current seventh and eighth grade students from the Board Game Club, Photography Club, Anime Club, track team, associated student body (ASB), drama, yearbook, Spanish and Matador Messenger were available with displays, and discussed Bernardo Yorba clubs and elective offerings with sixth graders and their parents. Core subject and elective teachers were also available to answer questions regarding the academic studies at BYMS.
Everyone did a wonderful job of representing Bernardo Yorba Middle School, and the amazing opportunities offered!
