Valencia High School’s (VHS) Tiger Cyber Patriot Team did an excellent job at the Orange County Mayor’s Cyber Cup invitational the last weekend of April. This competition was by invitation only, with only one team representing each city.
Cyber competitions are activities that bring cyber-security awareness to communities and build strong and ethical character in the students who participate. This, in turn, helps build a future cyber workforce for all cities in California.
Throughout the competition, the Valencia team was able to keep within seven points of the two leaders once time ran out. Overall, the Tigers placed third.
According to the team’s coach, Dwight Osborne, “this team has performed extraordinarily well all year and was in the top 19 in the nation during CyberPatriot X.”
Valencia students Owen Wu, DJ Jani, Bryce Tusyuki, Joshua Wong, and Vinay Venkat represented Valencia High School and the city of Placentia well at the Orange County Mayor’s Cyber Cup!
