In partnership with the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District’s (PYLUSD) Nutrition Services Department, Valencia High School (VHS) recently announced new food offerings and “build your own” lines for students out of the newly branded Tiger’s Den.  Beginning on April 30, students were able to create their meals by choosing their grains, proteins, vegetables, and sauces.

Each day will have a different cultural theme for students to choose from.  The first day of the new initiative, the “build your own” lines sold out in record time!  As a result, the Nutrition Services Department doubled the quantity of “build your own” options for Valencia’s students the next day.

In addition to the customizable lunch options, students will also see new specials on the weekly menus such as bacon cheeseburger pizza, roasted garlic chicken pizza, cobb salad, BBQ chicken salad, monte cristo sandwiches, and cuban sandwiches.

“Special thank you to Brian Johnson and his graphic design students for designing the updated menus (see below), shared the school’s principal, Olivia Yaung. “Another special thank you to Tiger Tube for filming the promotional segment, and to Mike Guest and Erica Harding-Watanabe for helping advertise and explain the new process to students in the lunch lines today.”
