Fellow students, loved ones, and staff members gathered to celebrate the two young men as Principal Smith spoke about both the tremendous impacts both of the students made during their educational journeys at George Key.
The small ceremony included a long list of honored guests including Board of Education Vice President, Carrie Buck, Trustees, Judi Carmona and Karin Freeman, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) Superintendent, Dr. Greg Plutko, Deputy Superintendent of Educational Services, Candy Plahy, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Kevin Lee, Director of Special Education, Renee Gray, and Director of Human Resources, Nancy Blade.
After a video presentation filled with pictures of Miguel and Terrell throughout the years, Principal Smith presented the boys with their certificates of completion. All those in attendance then enjoyed cake in honor of the two graduates.
