Once again, the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) McKinney-Vento program was fortunate to receive a very generous and much-needed donation of over 150 toiletry kits from the Assistance League of Fullerton’s Professional Humanitarian Auxiliary (ALPHA). The organization’s mission is to work with and support local communities by helping families – particularly children – in need.
These kits were filled with shampoo, lotion, hair combs and brushes, toothpaste and brushes, and soap. They are perfect for distribution to our disadvantaged students. Hygiene can be challenging for families who are in transition, and this wonderful donation really helps the District to help its students.
Jon Matson, the PYLUSD McKinney Vento Liaison commented, “We are so very grateful for our partnership with ALPHA. Over the years they have been so generous to our students and we can’t thank them enough!”
