On Friday, December 7, the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary Club sponsored their annual holiday party for the students at George Key School held at the Professional Development Academy. Every year since the mid-1980s, the organization has hosted this much-anticipated event.
Generously, McDonald’s donated the meal for this year — hamburger and fries. George Key students are sponsored by an individual Rotarian, who ensures students receive their special gift from Santa.
Each year, George Key School receives some financial support from the club for a specific purpose. This year, the staff at George Key School would like to install a sensory wall. To that end, the Yorba Linda Sunrise Rotary donated a check at this event for $4,000 and presented it to Principal Kim Smith.
