Fourth graders at Ruby Drive Elementary School went on a field trip to Mission San Juan Capistrano on December 4, 2018. There, the students enjoyed a performance by the Orange County Philharmonic including songs from the Gold Rush era.  The students also learned about musical instruments that were popular among the 49ers.

In addition, the classes had the opportunity to tour the mission and see how the California Indians and Missionaries lived back in the 1800’s.
