Congratulations to El Dorado High School’s (EDHS) 16 athletic teams that were recently recognized on the California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section (CIF-SS) academic lists.
“Student athletes you did an amazing job!” Principal Joey Davis said. “The biggest shout out goes to Boys Cross Country who finished 1st out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.91! ”
Here are how other EDHS teams fared:
- Girls Volleyball finished 23rd in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.5.
- Girls Tennis finished 22nd in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.68.
- Girls Soccer finished 7th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.7.
- Girls Golf finished 23rd in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.51.
- Girls Cross Country finished 3rd in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.88.
- Football — Top 5 in team GPA with a 3.33 in large schools (1,500+ students) for the 2nd year in a row.
- Girls water polo finished 14th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.59.
- Boys water polo finished 26th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.36.
- Boys volleyball finished 4th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.6.
- Softball finished 4th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.74.
- Boys Basketball finished 7th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.56.
- Boys Golf finished 9th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.6.
- Baseball finished 5th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.56.
- Girls Basketball finished 36th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.27.
- Boys Tennis finished 18th in the Southern Section out of 262 schools with a GPA of 3.63.
