La Entrada High School (LEHS) held its class of 2019 commencement on Tuesday, June 11, in the Forum Theatre at Yorba Linda High School. The school awarded 27 graduates their high school diplomas.
Board of Education Clerk, Judi Carmona, PYLUSD Superintendent, Dr. Greg Plutko, Deputy Superintendent, Candy Plahy, Director, Cary Johnson, and Principal Carrie Bisgard were a few of the honored guests in attendance to help celebrate La Entrada’s Class of 2019.
Following Principal Bisgard’s welcome and address, graduates Janay Mister and Martin Pierron delivered powerful student speeches that spoke to the benefits of La Entrada’s customize-able high school model and friendly environment.
Faculty members Sarah Miller, Kim Peck, Dan Sobschak, and Elaine Hudson then presented the students with various awards and scholarships including a presentation from the Placentia Linda Unified Managers (PLUM) and the Association of Placentia Linda Educators (APLE).
Trustee Carmona then accepted the La Entrada Class of 2019 as having met all the requirements necessary to complete high school, and then diplomas were awarded as loved ones and attendees cheered.
