Throughout the year, Ruby Drive Elementary School CASA students have enjoyed visiting Sunrise Villa, a retirement and assisted living community, in order to read books to seniors. Students are responsible for choosing the book they would like to share. It’s a rewarding experience for the young students to give back to their community. The senior citizens always express great joy to have such lovely interaction with Ruby Drive students.
CASA, which stands for County After School Activities, is designed to provide a safe space for students after school, and offers academic enrichment, homework centers, and tutoring, as well as a range of recreational opportunities.
