Valencia High School’s wrestling team took 2nd place in the Empire League and went into CIF Duals as an at-berth team. The Tigers surprised everyone by making it to the CIF semifinals dropping a heart-breaker to the defending and eventual back-to-back champions, South Torrance Spartans. The Tigers qualified 12 of 14 wrestlers to the CIF Southern Division Individual Tournament, which the Tigers scored 148.5 point to claim 4th place (highest since 1992) and crowned 8 ALL-CIF Wrestlers:

Four Tiger wrestlers participated in the Southern Section Masters Tournament last weekend, 32 wrestlers attempting to claim 9 spots at each weight. Student Chris Peters battled through to claim a 7th place finish and earning a spot in Bakersfield February 27-29 representing Valencia High School at 197 lbs.
“Thank you to all that supported the program this past season,” coach David Quintero shared.
