The first week of March, El Dorado High School students Aisha Gababa and Angelina Poucher (pictured above) opened up a free “thrift shop” on campus. Sponsored by the EDHS Fashion Club, students had the opportunity to browse and take various apparel items, if they wished.
To gather items for the thrift shop, the students organized a clothing donation drive before the end of the year to collect all of the items. Items that were not selected by students this week will be donated to the local non-profit Homeless Intervention Services of Orange County, also known as HIS House, in Placentia.
El Dorado’s temporary thrift shop was a team effort among various students and staff members on campus including club advisor, Ms. Erickson. Great job, EDHS!
