The Valencia High School MEChA Club decorated and painted rocks before over 900 students returned to campus for increased in-person instruction on Monday, April 19.
It was the club’s goal to inspire and connect with peers and send a message of aspiration: finish strong! The rocks contain inspirational quotes, silly designs, and artful renditions of nature. MEChA, which stands for Movimiento Estudiantil Chicanx de Aztlán, promotes higher education, community engagement, political participation, culture, and history.
