To kick off Hispanic Heritage Month, Esperanza High School invited a mariachi band to come to school at lunchtime to play music for the students and staff to enjoy. According to the school, the students in particular loved listening to the music. They even requested songs and danced throughout lunch period.
National Hispanic Heritage Month is a period from September 15 to October 15 in the United States for recognizing the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.
