On Saturday, September 18, Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) State Preschool Program Director, Vicky Castro, was presented the Women of the Year Award in the Education Category by Congressman Lou Correa. The ceremony took place at Chapman University’s Memorial Hall.
Each year, Congressman Correa recognizes remarkable women for their contributions to the 46th Congressional District communities he serves including Orange, Anaheim, Garden Grove and Santa Ana.
“This award also belongs to our district as I am daily inspired and motivated by the educational leadership that drives the outstanding educational opportunities we offer to students as well as the commitment and contributions of my fellow colleagues to students, families and the community as a whole,” Vicky shared.
