Travis Ranch School’s show choir presents spectacular holiday performance

Travis Ranch Encore! group.

The Travis Ranch School show choir group, Encore!, hit the stage in their festive holiday musical revue, Singing in the Snow, at the Yorba Linda High School Forum Theater on December 21 and 22. This was the 19th year of Singing in the Snow, and the students were thrilled to be back on stage after a two-year hiatus due to Covid.

The hour-and-a-half performance consisted of a broad variety of holiday songs ranging from classic carols to modern pop hits. Each student was spotlighted in a solo as well as many group numbers full of dancing and singing.  To cap off the finale, snow fell on the performers as the entire choir sang a compilation of holiday songs.

Encore! is one of only two middle school show choirs in the district and is led by Aimee Mauzey-Gallagher, the director and choreographer. This talented group not only puts on four performances for their school and local community during the school year, but they also compete at show choir competitions during the spring. Last year, they placed first at the John F. Kennedy High School competition and look forward to kicking off this year’s competition season in February.

Congratulations and best of luck, Encore!
