Preparing all students for college and career readiness and success in a global society is what AVID is all about, and with that goal in mind, Kraemer AVID students visited several college campuses this spring to get a taste of the college experience.
At Hope International University and California State University, Fullerton, students were able to check out dorm rooms, visit the libraries and sports facilities, as well as partake in on-campus dining and check out the student stores and many other campus amenities. Students learned how their grades can translate to more money offered in scholarships, and they saw firsthand the differences between a smaller and a larger university.
While it is hard to say which campus was most preferred by the majority of students, it is easy to say the day was a success, and Kraemer AVID students are excited and that much more prepared for their futures!
