Dental health is important at Parkview School

February is dental health month, and kindergarten and first grade students at Parkview School received a visit from Dr. Cindy Kudlik, a local dentist. Dr. Cindy demonstrated to the children the proper way to brush our teeth. She also shared how “Mr. Sugar Bug” attacks our teeth if “Super Hero Mr. Saliva” doesn’t have the opportunity to clean them between eating meals. Using the children and rope for a demonstration, children also learned the importance of flossing. At the end of Dr. Cindy’s lesson, each child was given a new toothbrush, toothpaste and floss to continue these good habits at home.

We often see Dr. Cindy on Parkview’s campus, as she has twin high school students who attend the program, and she’s a member of the Parkview Boosters responsible for the Scrip Program, a non-intrusive fundraising opportunity for the school.

Thank you Dr. Cindy for sharing your time and knowledge with the children at Parkview.
