September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The Esperanza Health Occupation Students of America (HOSA) hosted a fundraiser called “Alex’s Lemonade Stand” to raise awareness and support for childhood cancer research.
This foundation was started many years ago by “Alex,” a 4-year-old girl, who was diagnosed with cancer. She wanted to raise money so that all children with cancer would have access to treatment, further research, and hopefully a cure. This was a great project that involved so many Aztecs, and the lemonade was delicious.
