On Sunday, January 12, the Valencia High School Dance Team achieved outstanding success at the 2025 West Coast Elite (WCE) Dance Walnut Regional Competition. Competing against 21 schools, the team earned numerous top awards and showcased exceptional skill both collectively and individually.
Team Awards:
- 1st Place: XSmall Division
- 1st Place: Medium Contemporary
- 1st Place: JV Small Jazz
- 1st Place: JV Small Lyrical
- 2nd Place: Small Lyrical
- 2nd Place: Medium Jazz
- 2nd Place: Medium Hip Hop
- 4th Place: Pom
The team secured the 1st Runner-Up Grand Champions title and qualified all group routines for the Gold Division at the upcoming national competition, with an average score exceeding 91 out of 100.

- Megan Park: 1st Place in the 11th Grade Solo Division (out of 35) and 1st Place Dancer of the Year (out of 117).
- Lana Hernandez: 4th Place in the 11th Grade Solo Division (out of 35) and 8th Place Dancer of the Year (out of 117).
Additional Soloists:
- Lauren Varela: 1st Place in the 9th Grade Solo Division (out of 12).
- Jonah Valtairo: 4th Place in the 10th Grade Solo Division (out of 23).
- Kamiko Adams: 11th Place in the 11th Grade Solo Division (out of 35).
- Shannon Yoo: 14th Place in the 11th Grade Solo Division (out of 35).
- Genie Tang: 6th Place in the 12th Grade Solo Division (out of 40).
All soloists qualified for the Gold Division at nationals.
