Three student artists have been awarded the First Place Award of Excellence for their submissions to the Reflections program at the Fourth District level, as recognized by the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified Council (PYLUC).
These students demonstrated exceptional creativity in response to the theme “Accepting Imperfection” through the production of original works of art. As a result of their outstanding achievements, all three have advanced to the State level of competition, where they will have the opportunity to receive further recognition and potentially progress to the National level.
The award recipients include Megan Park, a student at Valencia High School, who earned first place in the High School Dance Choreography category; Sienna Chang, a student at Golden Elementary School, who was recognized in the Intermediate Literature category; and Ethan Jones, a student at Travis Ranch School, who was honored in the Accessible Arts division for Music Composition.
Their work will be showcased at the PYLUC Reflections Showcase on March 24, 2025, at the Placentia Round Table Women’s Club from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. Additionally, their entries will be featured at the district-wide art exhibition, ArtWorks, at the Nixon Library from March 28 to April 28, 2025.
