Yorba Linda High School Advanced Video Students Earn Top Honors in Regional 24-Hour Film Competition

Students enrolled in the Advanced Video Productions course at Yorba Linda High School earned top honors during a regional 24-hour film competition hosted by FilmEd Academy of the Arts. The competition, held December 6–7, brought together student filmmakers from 16 Orange County high schools, including Valencia High School, El Dorado High School, and Esperanza High School.

All participating teams were provided the same musical track—Now I’m the Fool by Angelina Jordan—and were challenged to conceptualize, film, and edit a complete music video within a 24-hour period.

At the awards ceremony on December 19, Yorba Linda High School students received the majority of honors presented, earning awards for Best Music Video, Best Casting, Best Hair and Makeup, Director’s Choice, Best Interpretation, Best Moment, and Best Behind the Scenes. The results reflect the students’ technical skill, creative vision, and ability to collaborate effectively under time-sensitive, industry-style conditions.
