Yorba Linda City Council Recognizes PTA Leadership for Service and Community Impact

On Tuesday, February 17, the Yorba Linda City Council formally recognized the dedicated service of the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) PTA and PTSA Presidents, honoring their leadership and enduring commitment to strengthening school communities. The Placentia‑Yorba Linda Unified Council of PTAs/PTSAs represents more than 10,000 members across 32 schools within PYLUSD and is currently commemorating 50 years of service in support of local PTA and PTSA units throughout the district.

For five decades, the Council has played a vital role in fostering effective school-family partnerships by educating unit leaders, modeling sound parliamentary practices, and advocating on behalf of its members and the broader educational community. In addition, the Council demonstrates its commitment to student success by awarding thousands of dollars in scholarships each year to deserving graduating seniors.

City leaders commended the honorees for their unwavering dedication, recognizing the countless volunteer hours contributed by PTA and PTSA presidents to enhance educational programs, strengthen school communities, and support positive outcomes for students and families across the district.
