Esperanza High School Medical Science Academy Students Excel at HOSA State Leadership Conference

Nineteen students from the Medical Science Academy (MSA) at Esperanza High School demonstrated exceptional achievement at the HOSA State Leadership Conference (SLC) held on March 26-28, 2026, in Ontario, California. Competing alongside more than 4,000 students from across the state, participants exhibited a high level of dedication, professionalism, and engagement throughout the multi-day event.

Students participated in a rigorous schedule of competitive events, workshops, and networking opportunities, with programming extending from early morning sessions to late evening activities. Their active involvement reflected both a commitment to academic excellence and a strong representation of their school community.

Several students earned top honors and will advance to the International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis. In the Community Awareness category, Claire Kim, Aditi Patel, Jazzlyn Jurado, and Caris Chung were awarded gold medals. Kaveen Jhawar received a silver medal in Human Growth and Development. Additionally, Naomi Kiniti, Kaitlyn Kim, Vishva Darji, Jyllian Panyapinitnugoon, and Sara Samanci achieved Top 10 state rankings in the Community Awareness event.

These accomplishments highlight the collective effort, perseverance, and academic excellence of the students, as well as the dedicated guidance provided by Mrs. Garcia. Their success underscores the strength of the Medical Science Academy program and its role in preparing students for future endeavors in the health sciences field.
