PYLUSD Students Honored at NOCROP Celebration of Success Awards Ceremony

On April 23, 2026, students from the Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District (PYLUSD) were recognized at the annual North Orange County Regional Occupational Program (NOCROP) Celebration of Success Awards Ceremony. The event honored outstanding student achievement and brought together scholarship recipients, families, educators, and community partners to celebrate excellence in career technical education.

Students representing a variety of Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways—including Education, Food Service and Hospitality, Design, Visual and Media Arts, and Child Development—were recognized for their academic accomplishments, leadership, and commitment to their chosen fields. Their achievements reflect both individual dedication and the strong support provided by teachers, mentors, and school communities.

Several students from Valencia High School and Esperanza High School were selected as finalists and scholarship recipients for prestigious NOCROP awards. Among the honorees:

  • Brielle Iglesias (Valencia High School) was named a finalist for the School District-Level ROP Student of the Year Scholarship Award in the Education pathway and received a $500 scholarship.
  • Emerod Flores Lopez (Valencia High School) was recognized as a finalist for the School District-Level ROP Student of the Year Scholarship Award in Food Service and Hospitality and received a $500 scholarship.
