El Dorado filmmakers win video competition scholarships

Two groups of El Dorado High School filmmakers won awards and scholarship money from the 2016 Courageous Persuaders public service announcement (PSA) video contest. Courageous Persuaders is a contest where students from across the country create and submit 30 second commercials targeted at middle school students to warn them about the dangers of underage drinking.

One group of freshmen from the Video 1 class (Aaron Blakely, Alex Zambrano, Aiden Nguyen and Jenson Jones) won the $500 Auto Trade Award for their video, “Dance Away Alcohol”:

The other group of students from the Advanced Video class (Caleb Garrett, Kyle Reed and Katie Ann O’Keefe) won a $1000 scholarship for their PSA titled, “Pajamas”:
